Creation in detail

Day-24 hour period vs. yom-a period of time.

The reason I bring up this subject on the very first day of creation is because God's word makes it clear what a day (yom) is on the very first day.

5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

One 24 hour day equals four parts of a day to pass (Day, night, evening and morning). God established what a day would be on the very first day. Why repeat this, on every other day, when what a day is has already been explained on the first day? God is not going to force upon people what they chose not to believe anyway. So would repeating this for every day of creation make a difference? Nope. Because people will believe what they want about this regardless. So you have to take God at His word, on the very first day, or just totally ignore why that was even put there in the first place. And any time you have to ignore what is written, you are more or less calling God a liar.

Why would people want to make the days in Genesis be longer time periods than a 24 hour day?

Because people put more trust in the findings of science over the word of God. Different dating methods did not go along with the word of God, which made man have to chose who to believe on this issue. Since man, with little faith, is more inclined to believe what he can see. Time dating became an easy shoe in replacement for the word of God. To make God's word conform to this new found evidence, they tried to change the meaning of the word day to put in question what was written. Instead of putting into question the time dating methods.

What was the mechanism that created a Yom?

In God's word, it was the separation of light to make darkness that created a Yom. Like we know in science today, there is only one thing that light causes when 1/2 the earth passes from light to darkness. It is a day. So a Yom is basically defined in God's word as one rotation of the earth. Now for someone to say that a Yom is a longer period of time, they would need to explain:

1) How the earth spun slower back in time. But now spins faster?

2) How life survived while one side broiled, and the other side froze? As the earth took a million years to make one rotation.

3) How do you get years before you get days?

Side note: Having to make a choice is always a test to see who will be your truth provider. Choose what you see alway means you turn your back on faith. Choosing God always means you choose faith regardless of what you see.

Does this make time dating wrong?

No. The problem is actually in how man decided that either method had to be right. And one had to be wrong. Looking at how time dating was done, sent me on a different course of finding truth. Which was: How could the earth be 6,000 year old, but date as old over 4 billion (4.3-4.5 billion) years old? I did not approach this as one being wrong. I approached this with the idea that if time dating were right, then God would have an explanation in His word as to why things were this way. This is because the time dating method looked feasible. Even though not always accurate. So I did several word searches that deals with words pertaining to creation. The word "earth" made me find the answer:

Psalms 102:25 Of old hast thou laid the foundation of the earth: and the heavens are the work of thy hands.

Foundation is the beginning of something being built (created). So God used old (age without time) material to lay the foundation of the earth. Since God lives in eternity, and created time as we know it. He would have the power to create things with age but without time.

Side note: Choosing to find out why, instead of just accepting things just as they are. Eventually made what I saw mesh with the word of God. Which took away choice on who to believe because both ended up right.

ps 82:5 They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course.*

Course:
  1. Onward movement in a particular direction; progress: the course of events.
  2. Movement in time; duration: in the course of a year.

The word course* makes the meaning of this whole verse. A course of time is a direction of time. A full semester course would be a full time course. A half semester course would be half course. But what if time were not needed to complete the course?... So we have age without time, which puts the earth out of the course of time, as well as the heavens.

Is there other evidence of this?

Yes. If you look all through creation. You will find that all the things that came from the supposed Big Bang, do not date the same. How could all the planets, stars, solar systems, etc.... all date differently if it all came from one source (Big Bang)? God being able to lay different age foundations for each object created (planets, stars, solar systems, etc...) explains how each created object had it's foundation laid just like the earth (age without the passage time).

Is there more biblical evidence of this?

Yes. God created all living things fully formed, and ready to multiply. Which means they were created with age upon their creation (age without the passage of time). And this includes Adam and Eve. So since God can create life fully formed and of age, upon creation. Which is a lot more complex then creating planets, stars, solar systems etc..., the same way. So creating a universe like we see, is how things were created.

The creation was finished and mature when God made it. "Jesus made wine out of grapes that never existed, and firmented them (aged) in time that never was."

Why would God create everything this way (different ages), why not all the same age?

With the physical laws of how things work already in place. Would a solar system with all things the same age work? A 6,000 year old sun would be to hot, and unstable (unstable means that it could increase in heat out put, and fry all life, or decrease heat out put and freeze all life). A 6,000 year old planet would be to hot on the surface to live (still molten). In fact, not even if everything dated back to the Big Bang would it work.

Example: Big Bang supposedly happened 18 billion years ago. So what if our star dated 18 billion years old? It would have already went Super Nova, which would have fried planet earth, and all life on it.. What if our planet was 18 billion years old? It would be completely cooled off. And our magnetic field would be gone, or very weak. No magnetic field, or very weak field, equals no life (a certain strength magnetic field is required for life to exist). So the next time someone asks as to why dates contradict the bible time-line. Remind them that it also contradicts the big bang time-line as well. If not, all things in our solar system would date 18 billion years old. Ask them why it does not. They have no real answer. They will try and answer with a lame excuse, which is one that cannot be backed up scientifically. Which will sound something like this:

Dating markers cannot be present until the said object starts to cool. That right there is admitting to dating being wrong. Because they can only date an object from the point that it cools down enough to leave those markers they date with. So how long was it to hot? No one knows. But here's the other lame excuse for not being able to date before it cooled: It depends on how "accurate" you want to be on dating.... This is just more circular reasoning to justify questions they cannot answer:

1) First they will argue on how accurate dating is.

2) When you expose them on how you cannot date objects on how old they really are (because they need to cool down).

3) They use the excuse of: It depends on how accurate you want to be. Which lets them, if you accept their answer, go back to claiming how accurate dating is in the next debate. Which starts this process over again, and it just goes round and round (circular reasoning). For as long as they end up at the number one spot (dating is accurate), it will always seem right in their mind.

So all planets dating differently cannot be explained through random chance and accident of the big bang. There are to many variables.

A solar system that will not work with everything dating to 18 billion, or 6,000 years, equals a Creator who has complete control over time, space and matter. To create everything with the different ages that we see.

How a Christian can tell if circular reasoning for truth has replaced God in finding truth:

In the three step sequence to find and justify a supposed truth above, notice there is no standard for truth in each step. Each step is a justification of the one before it, until the original one (number one) can be returned to as the accepted truth. And is repeated when ever needed. A truth that has a standard for truth. in each level, breaks the circle of circular reasoning. Example:

1) How does it apply to God's word?

2) How does it apply to God's word?

3) How does it apply to God's word?

The standard of God (an applied truth standard), stops the steps needed, to make the justification for truth required for circular reasoning to work. For what truth standard could be applied to the time "dating being accurate", when the three step process, of circular reasoning, just makes it repeat over and over? A process of justification of what you want to be true, does not make a new truth, or a new reality.

A recent example:

On this page of my website: World's oldest tree.  I was sent an e-mail as a rebuttal to the evidence I had. So I will use the mindset of this person to explain how circular reasoning can take control of what you think truth should be.

Step one of circular reasoning is wanting a certain subject to be true. In this person's case it was:

1) Evolution, and all that supports it. Plus: There is no God.

So upon surfing my site, he sees evidence that challenges what he wants to be true. So he has to now justify the truth that he wants to believe, and feels very compelled to do it. So he either searches the web for a tree that is older than the one I show, or he asks one of his friends, that has the same belief, to help him justify it against this evidence.

2) Evidence presented to put into question what challenged his evidence.

He finds an article that dates another type tree to be about 4,000 years older than the one on that webpage. The person who wrote the articles never commits to the actual age of the tree, but uses the phrase: "I believe it to be ancient". Which is not really confirming evidence. But being able to put the evidence on that webpage in question, allows him to go to step three.

3) Justification for what he believes.

By even being able to put into question the evidence presented on that webpage, allows him to continue to believe what he wants. Which allows him to return to step number one (his belief in evolution). The reason he would accept the evidence presented by someone who would not commit to what he claimed, is because he is only looking for justification, not truth.

Justification: A statement in explanation of some action or belief. The act of defending or explaining or making excuses for by reasoning.

Circular reasoning: This fallacy occurs when you state your claim and then, usually after rewording it, you state it again as your reason (always being able to return to the first step is being able to re-state what you believe by means of justification. An excuse by reasoning).

Another way to see if your caught up in circular reasoning and justification:

Always feeling the need to defend what you believe. This happens on both sides of the issue. When a person (Christian or Atheist) believes something through justification only (not totally convinced). Their need to justify it, until they are convinced of it's truth, becomes strong. And can occupy must of their free time, if finding truth is high upon their list. But to find real truth, staying neutral on any subject is required. But if you want something to be true, then justification is all that is required, and all that will ever be searched for.

The problem with justification only, instead of actual truth:

Justification is not satisfying where truth is concerned. And is why so many caught up in justification only, and are so driven. They find themselves joining groups with others who believe as they do, each one always helping the other to justify what each of them believe. They find themselves joining in activities where they find even more ways to justify what they believe. Doing search engine searches finding websites, and forums discussing things that put into question what they believe. They work out methods of debating, pre-written answers for each question, are always looking for new ways to justify their belief, and always have a network of other people that believe like them, they can fall back on, just in case they get in over their head. If they cannot debate on a website forum, then they are driven to debate through e-mail. They will even make long distance calls, on their dollar, to debate and justify themselves on a more personal level. Some are so addicted, they will travel several hundreds of miles to do it in person.

Justification only requires that you look like you are right, it never requires you to be right. And always looking like you are right is a mindset that can be addictive to some. And even more addictive to others. How? It gives a person a since of authority, a feeling of power and complete control. One that no one seems to be able to deny. This actually strengthens what this person wants to believe as truth. But because he feels he is close to actually finding it, he becomes even more driven. And each level of being driven requires more time, and more justification.
