Creation in detail

The formation of the Crystalline Canopy.

Creation day 2:

Note: This page is not a reference for the Dyson Sphere (link)!

The literal teaching of the word of God, shows that the earth was very different before the flood. And instead of having a ozone layer to protect us from the sun's rays. There was what's called the Crystalline Canopy. The reason it no longer exists is because it fell during the flood. It was also where some of the water for the flood came from. In fact, one whole day of creation is dedicated to the creation of the Crystalline Canopy, and our breathable atmosphere:

6 And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. (creation of canopy)
7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so. (creation of atmosphere)
8 And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.

Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. 2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

In Genesis verse 1 and 2, there was two things created.

1) Heaven number 1, which contains earth.

2) Earth which is completely covered with water.

Now remember that our planet currently has no atmosphere yet. And because the surface of the earth is covered with water, the water itself is being exposed to the absolute zero of space, and the vacuum of space. Water on the surface, when exposed to vacuum of space, boils even in sub zero temps.  As soon as it turns into vapor, it would freeze, and crystallized. This process is known as desublimation. In a vacuum most liquids have such a low boiling point that they vaporize almost instantly. For that reason, most substances exist in space in either the gaseous or the solid state.

Since water is made up of oxygen and hydrogen (H2O). We will look at some oxygen and hydrogen facts to determined what happened while the water was being exposed to absolute zero, and the vacuum of space.

Hydrogen facts:

  • Molecular Weight: 2.016
  • Boiling Point @ 1 atm: -423.0°F (-252.8°C, 20oK)
  • Freezing Point @ 1 atm: -434.5°F (-259.2°C, 14oK)
  • Critical Temperature: -399.8°F (-239.9°C)
  • Critical Pressure: 188 psia (12.9 atm)
  • Density, Liquid @ B.P., 1 atm: 4.23 lb./cu.ft.
  • Density, Gas @ 68°F (20°C), 1 atm: 0.005229 lb./cu.ft.
  • Specific Gravity, Gas (Air = 1) @ 68°F (20°C), 1 atm: 0.0696
  • Specific Gravity, Liquid @ B.P., 1 atm: 0.0710
  • Specific Volume @ 68°F (20°C), 1 atm: 192 cu. ft./lb.
  • Latent Heat of Vaporization: 389 Btu/lb. mole
  • Flammable Limits @ 1 atm in air 4.00%: -74.2% (by Volume)
  • Flammable Limits @ 1 atm in oxygen 4.65%: -93.9% (by Volume)
  • Detonable Limits @ 1 atm in air 18.2%: -58.9% (by Volume)
  • Detonable Limits @ 1 atm in oxygen 15%: -90% (by Volume)
  • Autoignition Temperature @ 1 atm: 1060°F (571°C)
  • Expansion Ratio, Liquid to Gas, B.P. to 68°F (20°C): 1 to 848
  •  Side note: Notice the Flammable Limits of hydrogen in air. According to cosmic evolution, the early earth was mainly CO2 and hydrogen. So when the plants made oxygen, there would be a point in which the earth would become a interstellar hydrogen bomb. The ratio between the oxygen and hydrogen would make it this way as the earth's atmosphere was being converted to support life forms that required more oxygen to survive (according to cosmic evolution). One lightening strike, or a massive volcanic eruption, would be the catalyst that would blow up the planet, or burn up our atmosphere..

    Absolute zero, -460 degrees Fahrenheit.

    Oxygen facts:

Atomic Number of the element Oxygen : 18
Atomic Mass of Oxygen : 39.948 amu
    Oxygen Melting Point: -189.3 °C - 83.85 °K
    Oxygen Boiling Point: -186.0 °C - 87.15 °K (-297.31°F)
    Number of Protons/Electrons in Oxygen : 18
Number of Neutrons in Argon : 22
Crystal Structure of Oxygen Element : Cubic
    Density @ 293 K: 1.784 g/cm3

    Boiling point comparisons:

     Absolute zero                  -460 degrees Fahrenheit.
Oxygen boiling point   -297 degrees Fahrenheit.
Hydrogen boiling point   -423 degrees Fahrenheit.

Hydrogen, having a lower boiling point, would separate from the water first. It would boil off, turn to gas, then crystallize.

But there is another physical law of water. This is called the triple point of water. This is where water can exist in three phases (solid, liquid, and gas). When this is done in a vacuum the boiling point of water is lowered to it's freezing point. In other words: the point where the freezing and boiling points of water take place are in equilibrium.

     Water triple point diagram.

Side note: The triple point of water (link) is actually done under different conditions to get the desired result. But has never been tested under the conditions explained on this page to see if this would happen in another condition.

gen 1:6 And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.

"Divide the waters from the waters" is God's expression of water reaching it's triple point, and therefore becoming divided into it's three phases (solid, liquid, and gas). But this is done in a vacuum which also means the water was boiling at it's triple point. It is at this point the the magnetic field of the earth played a role in creating the firmament (crystalline canopy).

The word firmament means to compress, it also means to have a arch, or expansion. For the waters to recede in one day, off the face of the earth. There had to be a great force pushing it under ground. This force would have to be generated on the surface of the water, which would compress the hydrogen gas that just separated from the water due to boiling off. While the water went under ground. The gravity of the earth, being made much stronger for a day, could have achieved this.

gen. 1:9 And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so* (happened on third day).

*Important side noteWhen ever the words: "And it was so". Is used in God's word. It means that it could not happen naturally. So when you see this phrase being used, it means that unless God intervened on what was happening. It could not happen naturally. The verse above ending with: "And it was so" is illustrating that God had to make it so.

When you compress hydrogen to an extreme pressure, it goes into a metallic state. Hydrogen in a metallic state is considered to be a super conductor. The magnetic field of the earth would instantly magnetize, this metallic hydrogen , suspending it above the earth creating a crystalline canopy. This suspension is known as the "Mysner effect" or "Meisner effect (link)".

Picture that illustrates how things can be suspended due to Mysner Effect.

So the next question would be: Can water be magnetized? Yes: http://www.scienceproject.com/projects/intro/intermediate/IP044.asp

When Hydrogen is squeezed with a sufficiently high pressure, the electron clouds are forced to overlap so that they are no longer confined to two particular protons and instead form a continuous "sea" of electronic cloud. At this point it becomes a conductor like other metals. http://www.newton.dep.anl.gov/askasci/chem00/chem00255.htm

And because this would not take place on the very surface of the water exposed to space, some water would be left to boil and crystallize on the other side of this canopy. What would be left would contain more oxygen (more oxygenated) because most of the hydrogen molecules separated from it to form the canopy. Or it could be just crystallized oxygen (this would explain how the O4 molecules, for the ozone layer, got placed there after the fall of the canopy). This would also explain why these verses say this:

gen 1:6 And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.

7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.

So is there any evidence that such things can happen to form a canopy?

When NASA shoots up the shuttle, or a rocket into space. The exhaust of the burning fuel puts water vapor in our upper atmosphere. This vapor freezes and because of low barometric pressure it also boils as it freezes and turns into what's known as a ice cloud. As shown below.

    Ice cloud.

    Credit: NASA

This ice cloud is attracted to which ever pole of the earth is closests (showing a magnetic attraction). In this case it would travel to the north pole and hover there. These clouds put out light as the ice crystals act as a light magnifier. And at the north pole can light up a good portion of the sky. How much are they attracted by the manetic field of the poles? I saw a cloud like this right after a launch. I live north of the space center in Florida. It took about 1.5 hours for it to travel to Jacksonville, maybe less (just an estimate, I did not time it) and then it quicly moves out of site as it travelled north. Every ice cloud formed from a launch into space does the samething.

These ice clouds form in the thermosphere (link) region of the earth's atmosphere. Which starts 74 miles (120 km) from the surface of the earth. And extends 372 miles (600 km) above the earth's surface. The thermoshere is also the 7th part of our atmosphere. 7 being God's number of completion and perfection. The exosphere is beyond what is considered part of our atmosphere.

Does water vapor and possibly ice exist in other planets atmospheres as an example that it could have been here as well?

The thermosphere also contains the Ionosphere. This is not considered a different atmosphere, just a part of the thermosphere. This is also where auroras happen. As seen below.

    NASA pic.

    credit: NASA

The ionosphere is where ionization of particles take place. The process of converting electrically neutral atoms or molecules into ions and the state of being ionized is called ionization. The recombining of ions and electrons to form neutral atoms or molecules is called recombination. In layman's terms, an ion is any molecule that has a charge. Which includes water or ice. And maybe the reason ice clouds go north once formed from a shuttle launch.

    Atmosphere layers.

The earth currently has 6 layers to it's atmosphere. Those layers are:

    1) Troposphere 2) Stratosphere 3) Mesosphere 4) Thermosphere 5)Ionosphere 6) Exosphere 7) ?

When the canopy is added to these layers, they become 7 layers. 7 is God's perfect number. And God creates things using the number 3, 4, and 7 as shown here: http://creationwiki.org/Types_of_Creation

How many firmaments are there, and what do they mean?

First off, most YEC believers make the mistake of assuming that when ever the word firmament is used. It's a reference to the Crystalline Canopy only. But, how do birds fly in the canopy? So this will be a break down of what each firmament is.

Firmament means: Arch, expansion, or to be compressed.

God's word uses the word firmament to show boundaries between physical things, or realms (heavens).

gen 1:6 And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.

    First firmament.

The first firmament is the formation of the Crystalline Canopy. This was done before the waters were receded of the face of the earth (Genesis 1:9). So the firmament created here was while the earth was still covered with water. And is the reason it says that it was created in the midst of the waters. This would fit the definition of a firmament being an arch or expansion.

gen 1:7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.

The second firmament is the creation of our atmosphere that we breathe.

    Picture of atmosphere from space.

And because the first firmament is made from water, and in the midst of water. The second firmament divides the water from the water (air being created-air in between). Which would be the canopy (water above), and the ocean (water below). And because the air is compressed (barometric pressure), it would fit the definition of being compressed, which equals a firmament..

gen 1:8 And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.

This is where the second firmament is given the distinction of being a heaven (a realm). This is because our atmosphere contains to types of life. Physical, which is all the we can see. And spiritual. eph 2:2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

gen 1:14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:

The third firmament is our solar system.

Creation of this created all things physical that made day, night, seasons, years. What this means is that everything with in our solar system was created just for time, and the existence of our planet. And because it is also referred to as heaven (realm), it is considered separate creation from the rest of space. Why? Because all that is with in this creation was made to support life that was contained on one planet. And is the very reason that the rest of what is in space is created later. Because of gravity, this also fits the definition of being compressed. And because our solar system is all around our planet, it also fits the definition of being an expansion.

gen 1:15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.

Trinity: Also, here is a trinity revealed. The number three in God's word is a reference to life. And the first three firmaments were created to sustain life. And earth, the only planet to have life, is the "third" planet from the sun.

The forth firmament is space beyond our solar system.

This was when the stars and galaxies were created and set into space. And because this is also called a heaven (realm), it was a separate creation. And because this creation was not created to support life on the one planet earth. It was created differently. It was created for man kind to see the glory of the creation of God. This is why it is said that the light was to give light upon the earth (so we could see it). It never says anything about time, or a segment of time as to the reason why these lights (stars and galaxies) were created. The rule of creation beyond our solar system is the speed of light.

Example: When God said that these lights were created to give light upon the earth: And it was so. God made it so because natural light will not reach earth from such far distances. Why create things we cannot see? So as the light was made to shine upon the earth (as God made it so), the object that produced the light was made to age according to how far the light had to travel to reach earth (different creation rules because this creation is not based around supporting life). This is why everything was not created at once, it was created in different parts. There are different rules to how each created part would work, and why.

And because of gravity with in these systems, this would also fit the definition of being compressed. Which makes it fit with the word firmament.

gen 1:17 And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,

A confirmation of why the stars, galaxies, etc... were created.

gen 1:20 And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.

A confirmation of the second firmament being our atmosphere.

The word firmament is mentioned nine times in creation, and is found in seven verses. Seven is God's number of completion.

Add to this the three heavens, discussed on another page, to the four firmaments (Listed below). And you come up with the number 7 again. God's number of completion. Here is a short flash movie explaining the firmaments (link).

Number of firmaments.  What each firmament is.  Created to sustain life?
Firmament one:  The Crystalline Canopy.  Yes.
Firmament two:  The earth's atmosphere.  Yes.
Firmament three:  Our solar system.  Yes.
Firmament four:  The space beyond our solar system.  No (created for us to see).

     Firmaments vs. time.

Number of firmaments.  Created for time as we know it?  What controls this creation of time?
     Firmament one:  Yes.  Life.
     Firmament two:  Yes.  Life
Firmament three:  Yes. (our solar system)  All time is contained in this system because of life.
Firmament four:  No.  Light travel, or speed of light according to distance from earth.

What this translates to is that we have two created time-lines. One was created just to sustain physical life as we know it on planet earth (firmaments 1-3). Which includes all of the things God created with age, but without the passage of time (foundations of old).

Psalms 102:25 Of old hast thou laid the foundation of the earth: and the heavens are the work of thy hands.

The other was created  for visual only (to shine upon the earth), for us to see (firmament 4).

gen 1:15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.

This is why everything created with in our solar system does not fit the same guideline on how we date everything beyond it. Distance, and speed of light travel dates everything beyond our solar system. But can we apply this same rule to dating all that is contained with in our solar system? No. Only two different time-lines, with two different rules for time can explain this.
