What makes a YEC believer?
Upon accepting Christ as my savior. I had already decided to believe the literal word of God. It was not until several years later, when I committed to do his work. And take a stand for creation, that I learned what YEC was. When I was called this name, I had to ask what it meant. Then I had to learn what it was. I soon learned that it is a catagorization made up by atheist-evolutionist, Old Earth creationist, and theistic evolutionist, to put one group who believed in the power of God, separate from what they believe. To separate the body of Christ on purpose, so they could deem their belief to be true. And mock anyone who came up against them.
Upon having been classified as YEC, and deciding to start a website ministry. I decided that I would name it what was a thorn in the side of those who wished to make fun of it. And that I would make a site that was better looking then almost every site they have. And even though they do not like the subject here, I often see them say that the graphics on this site are excellent. Which leads me to believe I have accomplished that goal. But as I learn how to work with flash, and animations. The site will keep improving. For someone who's first site is the one you see. And that everything you see was done through trial and error. I think I did pretty good. But for me, It's still not where I want it to be. But one day it will be.
What is YEC? YEC stands for Young Earth Creation. We believe that God created in 6 - 24 hour days, and rested on the 7th. And that the earth is less than 10,000 years old. We believe in God's literal word from beginning to end. We believe that God has the power to create anything, anyway He wants to. After all, is that not what the power of a God would be? Since becoming a YEC believer, I have run across different levels in this belief. In other words, we do not all agree on one thing. So I decided to categorize this belief system so that when you run into someone who believes a little differently, you will understand better.
Moderate YEC: This is where they believe in 6 day creation, but have some questions about other parts of God's word. Or maybe even questions about somethings in the 6 day creation. In other words, they are not real strong in the belief, just that they understand that is what's written, and what is meant, in the word of God.
Hardcore YEC: Where the literal 6 days is accepted, plus all other parts of God's word just as it is written. Science is used very little in proving any part of the word of God because we believe God is beyond science.
Radical YEC: This is where all of the above is believed, plus they go a little over board. They will believe any story told that remotely supports their belief. Even some that would only take a little common sense to see it is not true, or folklore. Example: Like their are some who believe the earth is flat. Plus some other radical views. I think in any belief there will be some who tend to carry it to far. Do not be fooled that all YEC believers believe such things. As some will try and say they do.
Hardcore YEC is generally what this site will be based on. A literal belief that God did everything just as He claims He did.
Where did the term YEC come from, and how long has it been around? Actually, the belief on the literal word of God has been around a long time. The belief became categorized by those who believe science over God, so that all who believe this way, can be separated from their religion and put into one group and made fun of. Of course anyone who is off their rocker is included so they can say: See, that how they think. YEC is not used as per-say like Baptist, Methodist etc... Because this was never how it was to be. Because you can be of any belief and believe 6 day creation, and the the earth is less than 10,000 years old. So do not think this is something that requires that you change your religion, it just requires a literal belief that God can do all that He claimed in His word. So in other words, you could be a Baptist believing YEC. Would not change anything about you being baptist. And because the literal Bible believers are the biggest threat to all that science would like to teach us: Origins, evolution, big bang, age of everything etc... A literal Bible believer believes in none of this, because God's word supports none of it. Even though some will try to say it does.
What is the difference between a person who would believe YEC, and is a Baptist, and someone who don't believe YEC but is a baptist? Ever been around a crowd of people who are of the same belief you are, but when a certain subject comes up, everyone seems to have a different view? That's all that YEC is. It is a different view within that religion. Because you are going to have those who will believe what science says, then you will have those who believe exactly what God says (YEC).
So don't believe everything you hear about YEC. Here's a new move by evolutionists to try and classify YEC as a cult: http://www.yecheadquarters.org/shame.26.html
And as I prove on that page, what they claim about the origins of YEC is not true. And they know it.
About the type of english used on my web site:
I grew up in the south, my site reflects it. I make no apologies for it. If it bothers someone with me using "your" instead of "you are", or "their" instead of "they are" sometimes. It's not going to change. It's the way we talk, and the way I type. I do catch myself and correct things when I do. But I am the owner, and the only webmaster of this site. Which means I have no one to proof read all my material. And it would take to much time to try and do it myself. So the visitors here will just have to bare with me, I never claimed to be a english major.
