The four corners of the earth?
| And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth. |
This is one of the arguements that evolutionists like to bring up against creationists, or YEC. They say because the earth is round, there are no four corners. And they also say that it was this verse that the flat earth idea came from. Really? Because God is spiritual, He can see through physical objects. This is also how He can see into our hearts. The reference to the four corners is where God can see the two intersecting lines from the center of the earth. Where the lines intersect, you have four corners that are joined together.

Difference in time during creation.
2 Peter 3:8, 8. But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
I believe that God was giving us a variance in time between the spiritual realm, and time as we currently know. Think about it for a second. Gods time = eternal. Our time = not eternal. So there has to be a difference. One day as we know it is like one thousand years in heaven as God knows it. So as one day passes here, one thousand years passes in Heaven. This is not a reference to ageing in heaven because when you eternal you cannot age. So this is a reference to time change or time difference.
So lets break the verse down is it is better understood. But,beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day (as we understand one day) is with the Lord as a thousand years ( to be with the lord is to be in the spiritual realm), And a thousand years as one day(here we see a reversal, now the thousand years with the Lord is being compared to one day as we understand it).
This solves time questions about creation.
1 day (our time)= one thousand years (God's time)
1 year(our time) = 365,000 years (Gods time)
Or God could be trying to explain eternity to us. Because in math, the way this is worded, one cancels the other out leaving nothing. Which could mean there is no time in eternity.
1) God did create in six days our time (24 hour days). But in the spiritual realm he did the work of one thousand years per day (His time in the spiritual realm). So in other words, it took 6 thousand years his time to create the earth in 6 days our time.
2) How God could do so many things in day (our time).
3) The time difference also means that everything was subject to being slow enough so that God can work with it. In other words, all the things (elements etc..) in our time that would only last minutes or seconds was multiplied by one thousand times that.
4) This is also how more time to create fits, and we can still hold the Sabbath day holy (one day our time). Because to us it would only be one day. God knew this and this is why he said it.
There is another way to look at this also. 1 day = 1,000 years as 1,000 years = 1 day. They cancel each other out. Meaning that there is no time in the enternal realm.
But if you put this into mathmatical terms it would look something like this, 1/1000 is the same as 1000/1. And since they cancel each other out when you do it this way, it would mean nothing or zero. And since we are talking about time, this would equal eternity.
