People can come up with whatever excuse they want to when it comes to the age of the earth debate and God. My question would be: Do you have enough faith in God to believe what is written? Or do you place more faith in science, and their naturalistic explanation for our origins, and the age of the origins of everything? And what will be your answer?
1) What about carbon dating?
2) What about the dates of things upon the earth?
3) etc..... etc......
You may explain yourself an excuse to others here on earth, and make all Young Earth Creationist look stupid. But when you stand before God, what excuse will you use, that you also used on earth, that would not make God also look stupid? So when God asks: Why did you not believe? Or have enough faith? Will every scientific explanation get you out of hot water with God? Because if it does, then God becomes the liar. And if your standing before God, then He is God, and does not lie. So guess what happens to those who claim that He was?
