For the Lord your God is he that goeth with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you. Deuteronomy 20:4
Adaptation
Science will try to tell you that adaptation is probably the best evidence that a species can adapt to it's environment, and evolve. Sounds feasible don't it? Actually, adaptation is easily explained. Ever heard the term "use it or lose it"? There's a lot of truth to that term and medical science has proven that.
If you get injured, and a limb is injured and weakened. Physical therapy is there to help you regain that strength so you do not lose use of that injured limb. But if you choose not to take the physical therapy and to not exercise that injured limb, you will lose some mobility in it. In some cases you may lose all use of that limb. The reason for this is most of the time an injury also includes nerve damage. Nerves send the impulses to every part of the body, from the brain, to carry out every day functions. You cannot not survive without your nervous system. You could not read what I have written here with out the function of the nervous system.
Example: Lets say you decide not to use your left arm because you are right handed, and your left arm is in the way most of the time anyway. So you put it into a sling and quit using it. In about two weeks you decide to pull it out of that sling to use it for something. You find that it is hard to move and only has half or less than half the strength than it had before you put it into that sling. What happened? A couple of things happened. One your muscles have become weak for lack of use. And the nerves that run to these muscles have also become weak. Your brain has also wrote off that arm as something not useful and has started ignoring it and therefore the part of the brain that controls the left arm has become weaken. You will find that the motor skills of using the left arm have become worse. Or more uncoordinated.
To get the use back you now have to exercise it. Force yourself to use it. In the process your arm become stronger and more coordinated with your brain. That section of the brain become stronger also in sending command impulses to your arm. Everything starts working better.
I told you all this so that what I tell you next will be better understood.
Science has found fish that live in water that was in caves where there is no light. So these fish were blind. Science called this blindness adaptation. The great explanation for evolution. But here is what actually happened from a medical stand point. The fish were not using their eyes so the nerves in the eye became weak. The part of the brain of that fish that controlled the vision also became weak. After years of non-use of that section of the brain, it becomes non-functional and quits sending commands to that part of the fish's body(the eye). Now, because this has happened the eye itself becomes useless and detiorates to a point were the fish cannot use it anymore even if it wanted to. In other words, because the lack of use of the eye, the eye no longer works so the fish becomes blind.
This was an unique design that our creator put into all living things so that when we become injured, our bodies and our minds can adapt. The fish did not miss it's eyes because the use of them was no longer an option. It's brain and body had adapted to that part not being used. If our creator did not design it this way, the fish may have gone crazy in the dark trying to see. And therefore would have probably died.
But on the other end, if the fish would have been subjected to light before it lost total use of it's eyes. It would not have gone blind. But science will still argue this so I will take it a step further so you better understand.
Ever needed an extra hand to do something? Like if you were fixing something and you needed and extra hand and arm to hold the light so you could see. Grow an extra arm then. Sounds funny don't it? But several times a year we are reminded that if we had an extra arm in some cases it would help. But through all these years we have not grown one. But if evolution, adaptation, and natural selection were the norm. Each person on this earth would be different in this manner to adapting to their environment. But we are not. We all have 2 legs and arms, one head and one brain, ten toes and ten fingers, etc... And we all live in different environments but we are all basically the same. The human race is the perfect example of non-adaptation. We live in different environments, but we are basically the same.
Example: Science says we have different skin colors because that was our skin adapting to our environment. Africans are dark because they lived in a hot sunny climate. Sounds feasible. But Eskimos are dark skinned also. And they live in a cold climate. So adaptation does not explain this. So does the Bible explain this? Yes it does.
When God separated the people at the tower of Babel for their ignorance of wanting to challenge him. I believe he separated them according to kind (color or race). We all had one language, so he separated them by mixing up their language. So the different kinds went and lived in different places because they could not communicate with one another (each race) anymore. We all may have different accents to our languages. But when it comes to races, we have all different languages. Some may have to go back where they come from to find this. But it all traces back to the tower of Babel. So it has nothing to do with adaptation for the reason that different races live in different places around the world and have different skin colors.
When we understand how God did things, it makes us better understand the reason for why things are the way they are. And when we accept God's word for what it is, it all becomes clear.
