The first site on the list is www..jesus-is-savior.com . When I first saw this site several years ago, it was not like it is today. It was just exposing the usual Christian decptions. But as I was doing a Google search on the Christian band Third Day the other day. This site popped up. So I click on it to see what they were saying. I could not believe how judgmetal this site was. Not only was the editor trying to convey the music was wrong. Which is not unusual when some disagree with certain types of music being used to promote God. But this person was also trying to destroy the total credibility of this group (total destruction not just pointing out their mistakes). His complaints not only was about music, but how they dressed, if they smiled or not, where the played their music, etc... I also got the impression that he was taking pleasure in doing this as he got worked up and issued a double dog dare ya type challenge which I confront further down the page.. So I'm going to bring some examples over here. The page is entitled: Third day, fools for Satan.

God hates Contemporary Christian Music (CCM). Look at the three men in the photo to the left. What do you see? If you didn't know that these are three members of the band Third Day, you'd think they were hit men or the villains from Superman. What's with the funeral looking clothing? Look at the three men in the photo to the right. What do you see? The same thing, except these are the Beegees. Well, there is one small difference, at least one of the Beegees were smiling. Third Day looks just like the heathen world. The Word of God commands us as believers to "Come out from among them (the world) and be ye separate..." (2nd Corinthians 6:14-17).

1) God hates CCM? I find this comment kida strange really. How can a person know exactly what God hates? Is CCM listed in God's word?
2) Now he does not like what they are wearing? Reality check, they are not preaching. Did Christ even condemn someone for how they dressed? No. But this guy will.
3) And I like the stereotyping here. Let's compare a Christian group with a secular one ("all" rock music is bad)? Do the Beegees sing Christian songs? No? Then you are stereotyping.
Mr. Steward. There is a difference between a music ministry, which is a seed planting ministry. And a shepherd ministry, which is a church. One helps plant the seed, the other harvests the fruits of that seed. Understand? You are judging a seed planting ministry as if they were a harvest type ministry.
Example: Does every ministry use healing? Why not? So if I judge a ministry by the healing power being present, then there would be several ministies I could condemn just based on that one thing that is missing. Does that mean they work for Satan? No more than Third Day works for Satan. If I go to a third world country and find a poor preacher dressed in rags preaching. Should I condemn him for the way he dresses? If he dressed like a prince, the poor people could not relate and his message would not reach them.
To reach a certain group you some times have to go where you can find them. And to fit in, dress like them as well. That is not mocking God when through relating and reaching awhole group for Christ, you try to relate through fitting in.
Example: Would you walk into a biker bar wearing a suit to try and relate to bikers that are in there? Or wold you have a better chance if you dressed like one of them? I know someone who goes to biker bars and dresses like them and brings people to Christ almost everyday. In fact te first church he went to he filled up with reformed bikers from a local biker bar. All because through relating to them he choose to dress like them so they would listen. That's not mocking God, that is dressing for evangelism in a missionary type situation wear what you wear can determine if you will reach anyone for Christ.
Salvation is not based on what a person wears. If it were, all poor people would go to hell. In fact basing the ability to evangelize based on clothing would knock out more than 50% of those who bring people to Christ everyday around the world. So is everyone not dressed to your specification going to hell and working for Satan? Or are you, Mr. Steward, willing to admit that you are wrong? In fact Mr. Steward, show us a verse that says that before we can evangelize for Christ, we have to dress correctly like kings wear, in order to evangelize effectively, Just one verse. But there is not one because dressing up is not a requirment to evangelize. And in some cases, dressing down is required to evangelize. So this is your personal opinion Mr. Steward, right?
| I recently received an e-mail from a young woman, defending Christian Rock music, claiming that people do come to Christ through such Devilish music. What she fails to realize is that there is NO such thing as "Christian Rock." In fact, ALL rock-n-roll music is straight from Satan. Young people aren't coming to Christ, they're coming to rock-n-roll, which is more tempting to the flesh than candy is to a baby. Rock is no more Christian than "Christian porno." God's Holy Spirit NEVER leads us to go contrary to the Bible. The Bible, God's Word, clearly warns us about befriending the world. |
1) Here we go with the stereotyping again. Christian rock is no more Christian the Christian porno? What is Christian prono? Here we have the perfect example of when someone hates what you do. How they can actually go over board in that hate and make comments that are really unchristian like as they are in some type of hateful feeding frenzy.
Question: Has David J. Steward ever went on tour with the band Third Day? No? Why should he do this? It is because David is standing outside of the ministry trying to look inside. He bases his conclusions on what he "cannot see". So he more or less assumes. Why not just go a step further and accuse Third day of standing inside of a Satanic symbol praying to Satan? He assumes everything else, why not this too? If you are going to stereotype them, why not go all the way? Compare every Christian band that plays music that he does not like with the most satanic bands out there.
| God calls such people His "enemies" (James 4:4). Although Third Day does use some religious terms and phrases in their songs (even mentioning "the blood of the Lamb" in their song Saved), they FAIL to give a clear Gospel presentation anywhere. Take a look here at Third Day's official website and I triple-dog dare you to show me how to be saved. Show me even a simple presentation of the Gospel. You cannot! |
Here Mr. Steward is trying to convey that even though someone can be trying another way to reach people. Unless it's a way he agrees with, it's not right.
Luke 9:49 And John answered and said, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name; and we forbad him, because he followeth not with us.
50 And Jesus said unto him, Forbid him not: for he that is not against us is for us.
What the verses above mean is that people do not have to be exactly like you to reach others for Christ. They don't have to belong to your group, they don't have to follow your group's rules. In fact the main message in those verses is to not forbade someone who is for us because they are not against us. So let's look at some example music.
Now did that sound like Satan worship? Here is a page with more Third Day music (link). Now let's look at the other accusation that there is no Gospel presentation anywhere on their site. Well here it is: http://www.thirdday.com/boards/showthread.php?t=106746
Why was that put up? After reading that page on Third Day I decided to test Mr. Stewards theory on Third Day being "fools for Satan". So I did what Mr. Steward would not do. I sent the head of the Third Day forum a message asking them if they would mind putting up a sinners prayer. And then I pointed out several reasons why they needed one. I figured that if they refuse, Mr. Steward was right. If they put up one with no fuss, then Mr. Steward was wrong and was basing everything on his hate for a certain type of music. Well Mr. Steward, you were wrong. And because you refused to do what you should have done, because you prefer to spread the hate more than the gospel. You actually proved what your ministry is all about. Destroying other ministries within the body of Christ because you prefer to assume things and condemn others with those assumptions. Which by the way is also bearing false witness.

This is how I picture your ministry Mr. Steward. You beat up on other ministies you disagree with. And those who are ligit that you destroy hurt the people you refuse to see (the new in Christ). Because when the cover is removed it's not Third Day that cowers in the corner. It's the new in Christ. Why? If a Christian comes to Christ through a ministry "you" condemn, then they see you condemning them. And figure they have been duped and now cannot trust "any" ministry. Who's fault is that? And when no one can reach them because of what Mr. Steward has done, and they burn in Hell. Who is going to have blood upon their hands for that one? You will Mr. Steward. Now you might think that is a harsh thing to say. But compared to what is said on that site, this is mild.
Now I have sent Mr. Steward about two or three e-mails about this. He more or less refuses to answer them. On his site he states that he gets so many e-mails he cannot answer them all. Well I got news for you Mr. Steward. This whole section of my site is going to be dedicated to what ministries like yours does to the body of Christ. And it's not going to be pretty when I am done because unlike you, I'm going to test your accusations. One which by the way I have already proven wrong (sinners prayer). And it pretty much makes your whole page void. Which also means you are working against God not for God. If you want to correct your mistake, I have no problem removing this page. Otherwise it stays.
But let's apply this judgment to a music group I don't see getting judged on Mr. Stewards site. This group is called the Issac's.
So using the same judgmental attitude that Mr. Steward uses with Third Day and applying it to this group, can you guess the problems that I can find?
1) A couple of instruments used are also used in rock bands. Electric Guitar (steal guitar), drums, and bass guitar. Boy, that's Satanic.
2) The girl with the dark hair is wearing a sweater that is see through on her shoulders and arms. She must have every man in that audience lusting after her body.
3) One of the girls is wearing pants. It's big no no to dress like a man. Someone might mistake you as one.
And by the way, the Isaac's don't always sing in places that are consider Christian either. Sound like to me they are just as bad as Third Day, LOL. Maybe Mr Steward should do a page on The Isaac's. And name it: The Isaac's, fools for Satan? If you are going to be nn-bias in your hatred towards Chrsitian music, you will have to apply your judgemental standards to every Christain group out there.
You see all this condemning is Mr Steward's personal opinions upon things he disagrees with. He does not critisize what he likes or condones in the same manner with the stuff he dislikes because then he would have to face the truth of his actions. That what he does is not based on actual scripture, but more on personal opinion.
Side note: Only lies need justification. And if Mr Steward's "excuse" is not scriptural, then it is not of God. Because an "unscriptural excuse' is a lie cloaked in secular reason. Because if Mr. Steward cannot supply scripture for every judgmental act, then his acts are soley based on a flesh response and not a Godly one.
There are more pages to be added over the next few weeks.
