Jesus is savior.com vs. Chick Tracts
It amazes me how ministries today have such a judgemetal spirit that they will relentlessly attack other ministries. On this page I will show how David J. Steward attacks a well known minstry named Chick Tracts. A ministry that has brought 1,000's to Christ world wide. But you see salvation is not the issue with Mr Steward, it's "how" you do it that is more important. So here are so examples from Jesus us savior.com about Chick Tracts.
The name of the page is: When Gospel tacts KILL!

WHEN GOSPEL TRACTS KILL!
By David J. Stewart
"And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life FREELY." —Revelation 21:6
A WARNING About Chick Tracts!
Chick Tracts seem to have a different answer than the Bible to the question, "What must I do to be saved?"

Surrender your life to Christ? That's Lordship Salvation!
"And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house." — Acts 16:30,31
On their website's statement of faith, they state concerning salvation:
"Salvation is the gift of God and includes the forgiveness of sins, the imputation of the Righteousness of Jesus Christ, and the gift of eternal life. Union with the triune God provides all blessings in this life and the life hereafter. Salvation is received by faith alone, apart from all good works and merit."

Lordship Salvation? Mr. Steward, the Bible only works as truth if it is made to mesh as one word. Anytime you, or anyone else, takes some verses here and there and use it to make a doctrine. They are making their own truth.
King James Version Matthew 19:
16 And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?
17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.
18 He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness,
19 Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
20 The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet?
21 Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.
22 But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions.
23 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven.
24 And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
25 When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved?
26 But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.
And this is mentioned in Matthew, Mark, and Luke. Which makes it's truth a trinity. So you see Mr. Steward, you cannot deny one part of God's word to make what you want to be true, true. And this is exactly what you are doing here. And that is why you skipped the three places in the Bible that mentioned this condition for eternal life. Mr. Steward also attacks:
| John MacArthur and Ray Comfort both teach Lordship Salvation, as does Jack Chick. |
Then Mr. Steward links to several other people who agree with his problem of Lordship salvation on that page. Mr. Stewards problem with Lordship salvation is that it actually "requires" you to do what the Bible tells you to. And that in itself is a salvation that contradicts iself. This basically is a run off of the OSAS (Once Saved Always Saved) Doctrine that basically teaches you can get saved, do nothing for God, and retain your salvaton. And any unforgivable sin can be only committed by those who are unsaved. Which makes sin stronger than the shed blood of Christ by denying the free gift to someone even before it s given.
Besides, the unsaved are already damned for hell. If they commit the unforgivabl sin, do they become double damned? So you see how stupid that sounds, but to say who can commit the unforgivble sin to make a doctrine true. When it's not supported anywhere in God's word. Is making one's own truth by denying another.
So basically Mr Steward is attacking these ministries to justify what he wants to be true. Truth does not need "constant justification", only a lie does. And Biblical truth does not require one to deny one part of the word so that what is claimed to be true can be.
The verse Mr Steward likes to use:
| "And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life FREELY." —Revelation 21:6 |
The fountain of the water of life does not save you. The shed blood of Christ, and having faith in what Christ did on the cross, and that He rose from the dead, will. There is no where in the Bible that says: By water ye are saved. And if this is what you are trying to say here. Let me warn you that there is a cult that also believes this. It basically states that there is a river around hell named Styx. And if you drink from it you will live forever. The water mentioned in that verse is God speaking. Not Christ. Our covenant is wth Christ. So what is the water from God the Father all about? You will find out when you get to Heaven.
