Evolution plus religion.
Science often claims that evolution is not a religion. But evolutionists all to often welcome theistic evolution as a alternative to what they will accept as far as God is concerned.. Which actually mixes God and science, but you have to concede to their claimed fact that evolution is true, and old earth ideas. So what are evolutionists doing accepting those who will not totally commit to evolution? It is because they know that their theory will eventually make you doubt God. They know that you will come to a fork in the road about what you believe, and you have to choose which path. And because you can "see" more convincing evidence from their view of origins, they know that sight is more convincing to man than faith.
Hebrew 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. |
So even here we see that how evolutionist convinces people (through site), is even the "exact" opposite of how God says we should believe or be convinced (faith: Things not seen). Having to see the evidence satisfies the fleshly need that man requires to believe, but believing without faith... Not to see, requires total faith that things we cannot see, created what we do see. Believing without faith, and on sight only, is a type of convincing that only requires only the mind to be convinced. Believing with total faith, no sight, requires a convincing that involves a heart felt commitment. And when someone accepts Christ, does Christ reside in the heart, or mind? The heart. So which should you rely as to how you should believe if God is truly what you are searching for?
What you have faith in (sight or unseen) becomes your master of your life.
Luke 16:13 No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
Luke 4:8 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
John 12:26 If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.
Romans 1:25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
Choose whom you will serve. God does not take second place (let there be no other god's before me, 1st commandment).
